Hebrews 11:4—By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
God had respect to Abel’s offering. But God rejected Cain, who unsuccessfully attempted to come to God in his own way. By faith, Abel offered God the only acceptable sacrifice—foreshadowing the Perfect Sacrifice to come when Jesus would die on the cross.
