Hebrews 11:5—By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
While very little is known about Enoch’s life, the brief Genesis account mentions twice that Enoch walked with God. Throughout the canon of Scripture, God calls every generation of believers to walk with Him, and gives instructions for how to do so through describing our “walk” and our “way” and our “path.” And just like Enoch walked with God and did not see death, there is a whole generation that will walk with God and meet the Lord in the air. Whether that is the current generation or no, may we always walk as if that meeting could be today. An Edith Henry original.
